KL International Motorshow 2000 is set to be the largest motorshow in Southeast Asia and the 10-day mega event with the theme, "Motoring in the Millennium", will not only attract motoring enthusiasts with its large showcase of automobiles but will also unlock the global motoring trend to this part of the world.

KL International Motorshow 2000 is the fourth presentation by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA), which was formerly known as Malaysian Motor Trader Association (MMTA) before merging with Malaysian Motor Vehicle Assemblers Association (MMVAA). A comprehensive and extensive advertising and promotion campaign is being targeted to attract 500,000 visitors to the show, which will showcase the latest in automobile design and technology from around the world. Futuristic concept cars and prototype vehicles will be unveiled by reknowned automobile manufacturers at the show.

Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA), the powerful voice of the Malaysian motor trade industry, will be presenting the KL International Motorshow 2000 covering 20,000 square metres gross exhibition space at the strategically located Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur from 25 November to 4 December 2000.

Booking of exhibition space has been overwhelming with members of MAA and national car manufacturers having taken up in excess of the original total floor area of 3 halls at Putra World Trade Centre. Additional exhibition halls, which are expected to be taken up in less than 100 days, are now open to accommodate late entries, especially non-members of MAA and auto accessories suppliers.

The pragmatic approach taken by the Malaysian Government in dealing with the economic crisis has resulted in a return of consumers' confidence in the first quarter of 1999. The affluent society of Malaysia is once again turned on to catch the motoring trend. THE ORGANIZER

Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) is the main organiser for the KL International Motor show 2000, which covers approzimately 200,000 square metres of gross exhibition space at the strategically located Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur from 25 November to 4 December 2000.
